How does the Ember Mug work?

The difference between the Ember Mug 2 and a normal mug is that, anything can keep something “Hot”, but only the Ember Mug 2 can keep your favorite hot beverage at your perfect drinking temperature. Whether you call it an electric mug or battery heated coffee mug, your Ember Mug 2 allows you to control your ideal temperature from our app.

How do I use the Ember Mug?

Simply pour in your favorite hot beverage and let the Ember Mug 2 do the rest! The LED light will indicate when your Ember is trying to reach the perfect temperature and when it’s ready for you to enjoy. You can also connect the Ember to your smartphone via Bluetooth, by downloading the Ember app. The Ember app will allow you to adjust your preferred temperature, add preset temperatures, and notify you when your beverage has hit your perfect drinking temperature.

Can I put the Ember in the microwave?

Do not microwave the Ember Mug! The Ember Mug is an electronic device, which should never go in a microwave. As with all electronics and metals, it may result in a fire when heated up in the microwave. Doing so will result in permanent damage to your Ember Mug or Ember Mug 2.

Do I have to have a smart phone for the Ember Mug to work?

No! Every Ember Mug 2 is preset to 135°F for you to enjoy right out of the box. Using the mug independently will limit you from customizing specific feature from the Ember mobile app such as adding a custom LED color or setting a specific preferred temperature between 120°F - 145°F.

How long does the Ember Mug battery last?

The Ember Mug 2, 10 oz was designed to last for up to 1.5 hours and up to 80 min for the Ember Mug 2, 14 oz when poured in hot at a set temperature of 135°F. The battery life of your hot mug depends on a number of factors including but not limited to: external temperature, liquid temperature at pour, speed of liquid consumption, and your set temperature.

What can I personalize on my Ember Mug?

Select Ember Mugs can be personalized with 15 alphanumeric characters. This includes letters A-Z, numbers 0-9, and standard symbols such as @ # $ and &. Spaces are included in the total character count.

Font, size, and placement cannot be altered. Emojis and other special characters are not supported. If you have any questions, simply ask one of our support specialists at support.ember.com.

Be sure to double check your text prior to placing your order as it cannot be changed after it is submitted, and all personalized sales are final.

How long will it take to get my personalized order?

Personalized Ember Mugs are made just for you! Orders can add 5 extra business days to the processing time of your order. Please note that faster shipping options will not impact the processing time of a personalized order.

If I ordered a personalized Ember Mug and a regular non-personalized Ember Mug, will I receive multiple packages?

Yes! Personalized and non-personalized Mugs will be shipped separately. You’ll be able to track both shipments through their individual tracking numbers, which will be shared with you. Please allow for the additional processing time of 5 days required for all personalized orders.

What if I put in the wrong text/number/shipping address for personalization?

Once the order is placed we are unable to adjust it. Please double check the submitted information prior to placing your order.

Can I return or exchange my personalized order?

As personalization is made to order per customer, any personalized items cannot be exchanged or returned. No changes can be made once you have submitted your order. However, they will still be covered by their product warranties. Any replacement Mugs will be sent without personalization.
