Irish Breakfast Tea + Whiskey
Two Irish classics stand at the core of this toasty St. Patrick’s Day recipe. Don’t have Irish Breakfast tea on hand? You can still make this tea-whiskey cocktail with any strong black tea.
Ingredients
- 8 oz hot, strongly brewed Irish Breakfast Tea (or black tea of choice)
- 1 oz Irish whiskey
- Splash of milk or cream
- 1 tsp sugar
Mint Tea Hot Toddy
Hot toddies are a classic whiskey drink for St. Patrick’s Day. They actually originate in Ireland, where they’re simply known as “hot whiskey.” To change things up this St. Patricks’s Day, try a soothing, minty take on the classic hot toddy by replacing the hot water with mint tea. Any mint variety will do, though peppermint is usually the most common.
Ingredients
- 4-6 oz hot mint tea
- 1 ½ oz whiskey
- 2 tsp lemon juice
- 2 tsp honey
Irish Cream Chai Latte
Chai tea may not have anything to do with Ireland, but this strong and spicy tea does stand up well to the richness of Irish Cream.
Ingredients
- 4 oz hot, strongly brewed chai tea
- 3 oz warm frothed milk
- 1 ½ oz Irish Cream
Music Playlist
As with any Hot-Tail or hot tea, temperature control is the key to full flavors and full enjoyment. We recommend setting your Ember Mug² to a slightly higher than average drinking temperature of 137°F to ensure your drink is smooth and blended.
Pair any of the teas above with our playlist "Irish Twist" and enjoy!
